Heather Natterstad joined Security Bank in June 2026 as Vice President Accounting Director. In this role, she oversees the bank’s accounting and financial reporting functions and supports the organization’s financial strength and strategic goals.
Prior to joining Security Bank, Heather spent nearly 9 years in public accounting, working closely with community banks in the areas of tax compliance, regulatory matters, and strategic consulting. Her experience serving financial institutions has provided her with a strong understanding of the banking industry and the opportunities and challenges facing community banks.
Originally from Estherville, Iowa, Heather earned both her Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Master of Accounting degrees from Minnesota State University, Mankato. Heather is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Outside of work, Heather enjoys spending time with family and friends and appreciates any opportunity to be outdoors, whether golfing, going for a walk, or simply relaxing on the patio. She and her fiancé, Cory, share their home with three dogs: Elliot and Oakley, miniature dachshunds, and Zoey, a Labrador retriever.
