Overview:
Security Bank is seeking a Vice President of Insurance Manager to join our team. This position will be responsible for selling and marketing new clients. Vice President of Insurance Manager needs to be a highly motivated individual who can lead the development and growth of an insurance department.
The Vice President of Insurance will report directly to the Bank President and will be officed in our Lennox, SD location. The successful candidate will be a highly experienced sales leader who provides expert level of property and casualty, crop, farm, and commercial insurance and sales guidance.
Responsibilities:
- Build an insurance presence in the bank while providing leadership and guidance by overseeing all facets of insurance.
- Develop a prospect client base and market insurance products through referrals, cold calling, networking, and other marketing strategies to secure new business.
- Identify client’s needs, market appropriate products to clients, compile insurance quotes and process all policies.
- Educate clients on types of insurance coverages and make recommendations based on client’s needs.
- Provide high-level service to our clients while onboarding new clients and maintain existing clients. This service is needed during the entire customer cycle, including booking appointments, inquire response, insurance eligibility, claim submissions, and questions concerning billing and insurance policies.
- Comply with insurance standards and regulations.
- Foster long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, vendors, stakeholders and participate in community networking groups.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum ten years of experience in an insurance producing role.
- Property and casualty experience with emphasis in crop, farm, and commercial.
- Knowledge of agriculture, livestock, and multi-peril crop insurance and specialty programs.
- Maintains a working knowledge of insurance agency operations, coverages, rates, and markets.
- Ability to build relationships and provide exceptional customer service.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong initiative and ability to work independently and in a team setting.
- Demonstrate professionalism in working with the community and all levels of management.
